HVALFJORDUR

Famous for the Glymur waterfall, one of the highest and most spectacular in the country, Hvalfjordur is one of Iceland's most beautiful fjords (a geographical asset it shares with Norway). Caverns, steep-sided canyons and the vivid green verdancy of Iceland’s volcanic soil are some of the visual delights walkers can enjoy on the 3-hour trek to the waterfall.
