Meall Garbh
1 NN371670 From SYHA Loch Ossian (or from Corrour Station) follow the track around the south-western end of Loch Ossian and head east along its northern shore. At the north- eastern end of the loch turn left at the track junction by Corrour Shooting Lodge and follow the track roughly north up Amar Srath Ossian. Keep left on the track as it contours below Sron nan Nead, heading west to a bridge.
2 NN397730 Don’t cross the bridge but follow the smaller path west, ascending along the south bank of Allt Feith Thuill. Ford the river on the path and follow it as it curves uphill, gaining steeper ground towards Bac na Creige Tarsuinn. The path fades on this slope so pick the best line on vague trails.

Continue to climb in a north-westerly direction to reach the rocky spur of Meall Garbh. Turn right here and follow the less steep ridge to the summit.
4 NN371727 From the summit turn around and head downhill in a generally south-westerly direction along the ridge to a col at 824m, continuing up the ridge to Garbh-bheinn.
5 NN358711 Continue down the ridge on a reasonably well-used track. Follow this as it turns left at about 760m and drops more steeply downhill. The track trends south-west to reach the railway at Tigh Ruairidh.
6 NN342681 Turn left here and follow the larger vehicle track south- east back to the south-western tip of Loch Ossian, the Youth Hostel or the station.
