COLUMBIA ZERO RULES SHORT SLEEVE T-SHIRT £30

Trail (UK) - - USED & ABUSED -

USED BY sweaty Trail staff writer Jake Kendall-Ashton

USED FOR 3 months

I’ve sweated a lot in this base layer. The sort of amount where you could wring out the t-shirt after peeling it off your body and fill a pint glass with the outpouring sweat. It’s been a super-hot summer after all! But don’t worry, it’s not going to be our next reader giveaway gift...

Having said that, if it were to be, I wouldn’t be left red-faced with embarrassment, because thanks to its moisture- and odour-wicking properties it has thus far remained delightfully pongfree. The key here is Columbia’s Omni-Freeze Zero fabric technology, which is designed to react with sweat to lower the material’s temperature and subsequently cool the wearer down. The garment is also finished with antimicrobial treatment to minimise whiff, while it has UPF 30 sun protection too.

I also like this top’s athletic fit, high crew neckline and flatlock seams, which help prevent any annoying skin irritation. Available in six different sizes, it also comes in over ten wacky colours – including Red Spark, Heatwave and Hyper Blue!

VERDICT

You won’t be seeing this up for grabs at the next Trai● gear sale, as it’s staying in my wardrobe!
