You’ll have a headache, so you’ll need to keep the high-altitude sunlight at bay.

■ WATERPROOF DUFFEL Most of your stuff will be carried between camps, and afternoon rainstorms aren’t uncommon. Keep your gear protected and safe with a decent-sized (100L) heavy-duty duffel.
