The epitome of a desirable peak, some have called it the most beautiful in the world. Getting up it though, demands work. This is no trekking peak – you’ll need experience and technical competence to scale its sometimes 60-70° slopes.

Most guiding companies will expect experience in the Alps or on Scottish winter Grade 3. There is some technical climbing to be done at altitude... and of course, only extremely experienced climbers should even contemplate this without a guide.
