Sometimes technology can be too cute and clever and unnecessarily overcomplicated, but not this app. It does exactly what it says on the tin and not a jot more. Even with zero phone signal, the free app can generate an accurate grid reference up to 10 figures long based on your current location. A slight glitch is references are rounded up rather than down when converting from a 10-figure reference, but this is still a pleasingly simple and useful app. DOWNLOAD FROM the App Store, or Google Play for android
