“My bestie Glen! We’ve been on lots of mountain and hill adventures and trained together in all weathers. This year on the Ullswater Way Challenge, a bee got in Glen’s hair, she tripped, dislocated her elbow and broke her arm. A Mountain Rescue job. She’s still marching up local hills on her recovery but all our big plans are on hold ’til next year. Two years ago Glen also lost her husband/best friend/walking companion, a massive hole in her life. She walked the Coast to Coast six months later and she is an inspiration in her enthusiasm and resilience. Now we are kick-ass girls conquering mountains, fears, doubts, always looking for the next challenge. Glen will back on the mountains with me again soon!”
