A total of 34 rotating metal beads, each with eight 2mm deep spikes, provide the grip. Importantly these beads are held in place with a wire frame and a chain that attach to the main rubber cradle. The result is more durability than designs with a rubber frame underfoot. Large areas of the boot’s sole are exposed, so overall these are best for level paths when a more durable performance is needed for regular use.
