VIEW WITH A PUB

-

The good old British pub. How we’ve missed them these past few months! A mountain day just doesn’t seem quite complete without one. The Queen’s Head at Troutbeck in the Lake District is a shining example of everything we love about a hillwalkers’ pub. Situated just outside this quaint little village above Windermere and Ambleside, you can walk from the door up onto the fells of Kentmere or Wansfell and return to an open fire, a welcoming atmosphere and very yummy food. Having been restored after a fire gutted the 17th century Grade 2 listed building in 2014, you can also stay in one of their gorgeously refurbished rooms, where walkers and dogs are welcomed. Now taking bookings, with a full refund policy for cancellations up to the day before if COVID regulations strike. queensheadtroutbeck.pub
