Getting hill fit after the lockdowns will mean different amounts of preparatio­n for everyone. Some have been welded to their sofas, while others have been pounding the streets and park to keep up their fitness. One thing that’ll be lacking for almost everyone is hill fitness. Here are my five top tips on how to prepare your body for the mountains once more. When you start these exercises, don’t overdo it straightaw­ay if you’re starting from a lower level of fitness. Do what’s right for you, and every bit of exercise will better prepare you for your return to the mountains.
