4 STEPS TO MOUNTAIN WELLBEING
TAKE A PAUSE
We’re so focused on the destination that we forget to stop. Sit and pay attention to your sensory experience. Notice your breathing, sounds, scents, colours, shapes and movement. How does it feel to be part of the landscape?
ENJOY THE CLIMB
Getting to the summit is an amazing feeling – but what about the journey? Take time to notice what’s around you. Walk as if you were a child, taking it all in for the first time.
WATCH FOR WILDLIFE
Be curious about other life forms. You can either set off with a wildlife guide or simply enjoy wondering: What might their experience of the world be? How might they be perceiving you? What might their lives up in the hills be like?
SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE
Towering peaks can be a source of inspiration connecting us with a sense of possibility. How do you feel in the mountains? How do they inspire you? What’s your personal experience? Share it with friends, write about it on a blog or simply enjoy it for yourself.
