Trail (UK)

IS IT FOR ME?

FITNESS This route makes for a quite demanding day’s walk involving over 1000m of ascent and descent through some rugged, rocky terrain when the walk out to Sligachan is factored in. TERRAIN Some steep ground, but no great challenge in dry conditions, but in wet or wintry conditions the terrain can be treacherous. Rugged and rocky in parts on the ascent and descent of Blabheinn. The path between Camasunary and Sligachan can at times be very wet in places. NAVIGATION The route up Blabheinn’s south ridge is obvious and straightforward. The trodden path is mostly clear, but care is required with route-finding in poor visibility, with a risk of becoming cragbound if you wander off the ridge.
