MONTANE ALPINE SPIRIT WATERPROOF JACKET £270

This is a bulletproof (not actually, though to be fair I’ve not tested it for this), balls-out, no nonsense, proper, year-round waterproof jacket. It’s the sort of item that’ll keep you dry and warm through the most epic of days, and I’ve had a few in it already. The mountaineering cut to the jacket means I swagger up those mountains – it just makes you feel like you could climb anything.

Only the addition of pit zips would elevate this to an even heavenlier level.

VERDICT This jacket ticks (almost) all the boxes for me.
