The Grym is like a forcefield against downpours and blizzards. Hood up and cinched tight, there’s no way the weather is getting in and I feel invincible. The stiffness and thickness that make it bulky in a pack come into their own when it’s actually being worn in angry conditions, and the Grym’s ability to make wild weather seem like little more than a minor inconvenience really impresses.

VERDICT When the weather’s abysmal, this is the hard shell I’ll be wearing.
