THE NORTH FACE BASE LAYER £30

I realised the other day just how long I’ve had this top – ages.

I don’t actually know, it could be as much as 15 years. What I do know is it shows no sign of wear. I stick it through the wash, never reading the label, it still fits, there’s no bobbling. I run hot most of the time and this is my idea of a thick base layer. The modern-day equivalent seems to be the Easy Long-Sleeve top costing £45.

VERDICT If I could remember what it was called I’d buy the whole of the remaining stock and know I’d have found base layer perfection.
