The TrailShot is extremely light – just 142g – and packs easily into a rucksack pocket where it can be readily accessed. It’s easy to operate (although a bit of a forearm workout) and filters around 1 litre per minute of pumping, removing bacteria and protozoa and enabling the water to be drunk directly from source or used to top up a bottle.
