Scottish outdoor brand Lomo started out in 2000 producing wetsuits, but since then it has expanded into expedition equipment, including these incredibly good value walking poles. They include an extended ergonomic grip that allows adjustment on the move, and collapse to 63cm with flip locks for stowage.

VERDICT These are lightweight (255g a pole), with all the key features a hillwalker will need at a budget price.
