ULTIMATE WEEKENDS

Lose yourself for a few days of walking mountains and ridges on the wild & amazing Isle of Arran.

- JAMIE ROOKE

Isle of Arran

Arran’s mountains are proof enough that when it comes to mountains, size isn’t everything. And our three routes here have everything you need – adventurous terrain, wildlife, and a healthy dose of escapism. Escapism from people, mostly. Sure, you’ll probably see a few bodies on Goatfell, but time your trip well and you’ll feel like the madness of life is a million miles away.

Highlights of the walks are catching sunrise in Glen Rosa and the turrets of Cir Mhor, looking for eagles on Beinn Bharrain, and scrambling up to a ridge traverse of Cioch na h Oighe. Put the kettle on (or pour a whiskey) and get planning your escape, even if it is only for a few days.
