“I’ve never felt unsafe in the mountains as a female, apart from sometimes if I get back to the car in the dark. And it’s not the mountains, it’s going back to ‘civilisation’ which is causing the issue. The only reason I might feel unsafe in the actual mountains when solo is if I have pushed into terrain which is not as safe as I thought.”
