PLANTING THE ADVENTURE SEED

Adventurers Dwayne Fields and Phoebe Smith are looking for 10 underprivileged 16-18-year-olds to take on a specially chartered expedition ship to the Antarctic Peninsula in 2022. The pair met at Countryfile Live on a panel discussing barriers to adventures and the outdoors. Dwayne explains: “We realised that – for different reasons – we had similar experiences with people telling us how we couldn’t/ shouldn’t/wouldn’t be able to do it.” Since then they created the #WeTwo Foundation to encourage the next generation from all walks of life to fall in love with the outdoors and look after the planet. “For us it’s not about planting flags, it’s about planting seeds,” says Phoebe.
