The second bearing (above) takes you down the steepening of McLean’s Steep and onto the easier slopes at the top of the zigzags. This isn’t a time to relax, however, as it is easy to drift left off your bearing, which will take you onto the steep convex slopes at the head of Five Finger Gully.
Can be avalanche-prone.
