FITNESS Most regular hillwalkers will find this relatively easy going, although snowy conditions will of course make things tougher.

TERRAIN Good paths all the way, optional short rocky section to get to the top of the Pike. No real exposure. Ice grippers useful in winter conditions.

NAVIGATION Paths and tracks generally easy to follow, although as with any fell walk care is needed in mist.
