Built around a Perwanger leather upper with minimal stitching, a synthetic fibre tongue and a Gore-Tex waterproof lining, the Baltoro GTX is well stiffened to provide good support when you’re on unpredictable terrain like snow and ice. The thick rubber rand at the front offers good protection, the padded cuff is very supportive, underfoot the sole provides good stiffness, and they’re compatible with semi-auto crampons when you need that extra assurance.
