FITNESS Three big Munros, challengin­g terrain, and a long walk or bike in – you’ll need legs like pistons.

TERRAIN 4x4 track, boulder fields, narrowing ridge with brief exposure, rocky summit and maintained mountain paths.

NAVIGATION Easy low down, tricky higher up. Good route-finding through boulder fields, a sharp eye for faint paths and skill with map and compass are essential.
