FITNESS A moderate level of hill fitness and experience will help to absorb the more rocky and steep sections of this walk.

TERRAIN Grassy slopes and mountain paths at lower to mid-levels. Loose, steep paths and larger boulders at higher altitudes. NAVIGATION Fairly straightfo­rward, but be prepared for any poor visibility between Grey Knotts and Green Gable, and when descending from Great Gable.
