IS IT FOR ME?

-

FITNESS Though not a long or particularly demanding route, Glamaig is still a substantial hill and the ascent from the north-east via An Coileach is steep in places – with some rough ground covered. Not to be taken too lightly. TERRAIN Tussocky moorland, grassy mountainside with rocky outcrops; a clear path once the summit ridge is gained. NAVIGATION Once the ridge is gained the route is quite straightforward, with old iron fence posts following the ridgeline. The route deviates from the ridge to negotiate rocky outcrops, but this presents no real difficulty in reasonable conditions.
