Research from Land Rover has revealed Snowdon, Ben Macdui, Cairn Gorm, Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike are the UK’s 5 most popular mountains on Tripadvisor. We’re pretty sure these comments aren’t from Trail readers...

SNOWDON: “Did the Pyg Track. Found the ascent horrific – so exhausting. Rubbish views of ugly rocks and a couple of lakes sometimes. Never again.”

BEN NEVIS:

“There were clouds all around, there wasn’t a café. All in all, a waste of time.” “We didn’t even bother getting out of the car. Everest has nothing to worry about!” “The walk lacked 4G signal in many places and when you got to the top you couldn’t see anything. Like the whole of Scotland. A big disappointment!”

SCAFELL PIKE:

“Don’t bother climbing Scafell Pike unless you wish to experience torture.”
