FITNESS A good level of walking fitness advised, to be ready for any bad weather and carrying a multi-day pack.
TERRAIN A mixture of estate track, engineered mountain path and boggy, heather-covered slopes at lower levels; rockier ground, mountain paths and scree at higher levels.
NAVIGATION Fairly straightforward, but be prepared to zone in for the off-path descent to Dubh Loch, especially in poor visibility.
