“What an awesome day! Mountains for the Mind wellbeing walk, supported by Blackdog Outdoors, on Cadair Idris. It’s a pretty tough mountain on the Minfford side, but we broke it down into manageable sections and were rewarded with absolutely awesome views all day! Everyone dug deep and faced various challenges, but lots of happy smiles at the end of the day.” FELICITY TURNER

?? ?? “Eight years ago, I was 7 months on from a life-changing spinal cord injury and just figuring out if I could get back out for a walk without using crutches. At that point trig points and summits were a memory and a faint hope. Today I gave myself a mental kick up the arse and got out up onto Booze Moor above Arkengarthdale in North Yorkshire for a yomp to tick off the trig point and enjoy a brew with a view. It’s not an easy road, and I’m more mentally drained these days than I was, but I’m mega thankful that when I do need recharging mentally I’m still able to get out onto the open moors, dales and fells for a walk. Keep going folks, and if anyone ever fancies some slow company up fell and down dale let me know.” JONO ROCHE
