FITNESS Good hill fitness needed – long day with some rough ground. TERRAIN Good paths at lower levels; short sections of easy scrambling on Eagle Crag; mostly grass on higher ground, but rough and boggy at times. NAVIGATION Well-used paths at lower levels, otherwise mostly faint trails. Approach to High Raise is pathless and the bridleway beyond Blea Tarn is unclear.
