“This morning’s sunrise from the Arrochar Alps. Sat and watched the sun come up with a coffee and listened to the silence.” Kenny Maccormack

“Great weekend in the Lakes.”

“On Saturday I climbed Ben Nevis! The achievement hasn’t sunk in yet! Windy, sleet, snow and rain. Moments where the valley appeared and moments of complete whiteout. I asked nine of my amazing, strong women friends to join me and we have had such a blast. Lots of aching legs but all the training paid off. I’ve seen my mental health improve massively over the past 11 years and I’m overly proud that on Saturday I had no panics, no hesitation in my abilities, just pure enjoyment of finishing my dream of three peaks.” Kathryn Brice

“My partner Roy and I have had a really bad time over the last three years. Family issues, my stepmother and uncle passing away unexpectedly, work stress, and the sudden loss of our two beautiful dogs. It has all had a really bad effect on my mental health, to the point where I felt I couldn’t carry on. Finally I got back to the mountains yesterday and what a day it was. I didn’t think about anything the whole day. Roy has only ever walked along Walla Crag in the Lakes and Mam Tor in the Peak District, so I took him across Striding Edge onto Helvellyn. I thought he was going to kill me when he got down the Bad Step! Once up Helvellyn, the weather turned and it was sideways rain, but Roy persevered and we did Nethermost Pike, Dollywagon Pike and Grisedale Valley. Even our Saluki dog, Leo, was exhausted when we got home. Roy is my constant support and did this for me. I’m so proud of what he achieved and I’m so happy that I made the effort to get back to doing what I love. Instant head change in the hills.” Craig Laing

“I just had the most incredible 24 hours, doing my first ever wild camp in the Peaks on the Kinder Scout route! My feet hurt now but felt so good doing it. Had a wobble but woke up refreshed and hiked 20km today. It was the headspace I was after, and doing something completely for me! Best way to spend my weekend.” Elizabeth Wright
