Nose: Light brown muscovado sugar, freshly split vanilla pods, acacia honey and a sweet fatty note of prosciutto.

Palate: Light muscovado sugar sweetness upfront and then some cinnamon and nutmeg spices come in to play. Brandy snap biscuits and red cherries are followed by a little coffee fudge.

Finish: Long and full of cinnamon spice.

Comments: An elegant rum with nuanced sweetness and layers of spice really showcasing the additional aging. 8.3

Peter

Nose: Dark chocolate with ripe cherry notes. Rich and deep.

Palate: Rich, dark chocolate continues onto the palate. Gentle sweetness, becoming a little more milk chocolate. Then hints of vanilla.

Finish: Sweet chocolate finish, not particularly lasting, and fades into a little prickly spicy heat.

Comments: This

Rum is remarkably consistent throughout its presentation; however, it doesn’t have a particularly complex range of flavours associated. Well done despite that.
