Nose: Like walking past a bakery in the summer, fresh baked bread with custard. Cinnamon and ginger spiced applea.
Palate: Rich and gentle. Follows the nose closely with lots of pastry and Choix buns, chocolate and cream. A little peat smoke comes through.
Finish: Short and gentle, that peat smoke unfurls nicely and then dries with cinnamon spice.
Comments: A straight forward and pleasing dram. Balances the smoke and spirit nicely. 8.7

Nose: Baked apples, with cinnamon and nutmeg spices wafting around in the wings. Fresh pastries. Really dreamy.
Palate: More of the baked apple pie, topped with sweet custard. Genuinely spicy. Cinnamon balances nicely with the sweeter elements. Lemon drizzle cake comes to the fore, before there's a herbal, yet warming peat note.
Finish: Long and more of that vegetal peat note.
Comments: Good, fulsome whisky. Spice and peat comes forward at the right moments to bundle up an otherwise sweet treat.
