Nose: Opening the door to a woodshed, packets of Jelly Babies, powdered sugar, hints of citrus, tangerine slices. Freshly washed red apples, honeycomb sweetness and then the oak comes through with vanilla.

Palate: Black liquorice pieces, Eccles cakes, raisins in honey syrup. Refresher sweets with lots of sherbet. Then roast chilli spice and that tangerine citrus hit.

Finish: A little bitter oak, then sherbet tanginess and orange citrus.

Comments: You know when you have been… well that and this is pretty straight down the line and easy going. 7.9

Nose: Banana bread, chai latte with powdered nutmeg, roasted walnut, liquorice allsorts, candied orange, sandalwood yankee candle, vanillawashed coffee beans.

Palate: Light, sweet and quaffable, but full of flavour. Coffee creams, rum-soaked raisins, milk chocolate, butterscotch sauce. A sweet and a little salty, like Italian caramelised biscuits.

Finish: Short and sweet, with more salted caramel.

Comments: Would pair well with, or perhaps replace, after-dinner coffee and biscuits. 8.1
