Nose: Shy at first and takes its time to open up, then it is gorgeous apple compote, fresh and warm. Sliced cherries, agave syrup and then boiled sweets. A hint of warming metal.
Palate: Honey and malted barley, and those boiled sweets hit first. Melon balls and Parma ham, orange slices sprinkled with brown sugar. The heat starts to build with pickled chillies and Indian spices.
Finish: Sherbet sweetness and spices punching through with oranges and cloves. Lacks a little at the end.
Comments: A good straightforward dram.

Nose: A little closed at first. As it warms up, we find Canary melon, hay and cut grass, honey on toast, daffodil, vanilla pods and a dash of Robinsons fruit and barley orange squash.
Palate: Vanilla forward. Creamy, with more of that distinctive melon note and a little oak spice bringing up the rear. There's very gentle tannin and, with time, there are green grapes and elderflower.
Finish: Medium length, with vanilla fading into the melon note again.
Comments: Very clean and fruity. Would make for a refreshing highball.
