Nose: Distant pine, mellowing tobacco leaf, seasoned wood stacks. A little salted beef, daffodils on the turn and damp tweed. Sweetness hits in the form of Golden Syrup.
Palate: Gentle and soft, cola cubes and cherry flavoured sherbet.
Milk chocolate with honeycomb. Banana bread with full fat salted butter on top. Exotic toasted spices, with plenty of turmeric.
Finish: Short but kicks up those spices a gear to a different level.
Comments: Good and balanced, nice and punchy for that 40%ABV. Worth a decent look. 8.2

Nose: Red apples, vanilla essence and orange blossom water.
Palate: Very light, with sweet red apple and a pleasant nutty, brown bread note. Vanilla sponge and butter icing.
Finish: Medium, lingering on the nuttiness and butter icing.
Comments: Very light and almost a little too drinkable. Would make great ‘party whisky’. 7.6
