FIM X-Trial
The one man show that is Toni Bou continues to bulldoze the opposition with another stunning performance in the FIM X-Trial competion this year. With twenty-five consecutive round wins and an eighth World Indoor title who can stop the machine that is Toni Bou – Bou-oom Bou-oom!
ALBERT CABESTANY (SHERCO-ESP) – CHAMPION 2002: Never one to show his true emotions in either victory or defeat, it does not detract from the abilities of both himself and Adam Raga. A real genuine nice guy, ‘Cabers’ is fully committed to winning and is still very much a force to deal with, but it’s the sheer consistency of Bou that he has to deal with. ADAM RAGA (GAS GAS-ESP) – CHAMPION 2003–2006: With some real fire still burning in his stomach Adam Raga is never afraid to show his emotions – which at times can affect his riding. This year neither he nor Cabestany have shown the consistency to challenge Bou’s world crown but you can be sure it’s not through lack of effort. Both these riders are always 100%!
JERONI FAJARDO (BETA-ESP): Much has been expected from Fajardo and when on form he can certainly challenge, but it’s not been his best of years in the X-Trial series in 2014. TAKAHISA FUJINAMI (MONTESA-JPN): It’s been a tough indoor season for the very likeable Japanese rider. Having suffered a snapped ligament injury in the latter part of 2013 he has not been able to ride at 100%, but has at all times been totally committed to continue competing at this world-class level of riding. JAMES DABILL (BETA-GBR): The results from ‘Dibsta’ do not reflect how close he has come to challenging the top three riders. In qualifying he has been particularly impressive, with some solid performances, but once in the final he has not produced the riding he is capable of, finishing just off the podium by the odd mark. As part of the factory Beta team, along with Jeroni Fajardo, he is well established now as a part of the Indoor Show.
