OSSA TRI/EXPLORER

-

2015 marks the 75th anniversary of Ossa. Founded in 1940, the Clover brand has always been distinguished by its refined products, technologically advances and a personal look. The TRI/Explorer models of the Anniversary combines and reinforces these values by creating a unique motorcycle. The fifth generation of the TRI is a mature, polished and evolved product in every detail but also remains the lightest and most technologically advanced trials machine.

Once again the

TRI offers engine sizes of 125cc, 250cc, 280cc and 300cc. Its dry weight of 64.5 kilos along with its reliable and progressive fuel injected engine and exclusive equipment such as the Ohlin’s rear shock absorber, its compact design and exclusive style make the TRI a unique option for riders of all ages and levels.

The Spanish brand has continually evolved the machine in the heat of competition at the highest level which in turn allows them to induce improved reliability for the owner.

The Ossa Explorer is probably the reference model in the spirit of adventure creating a machine that is made to reach the most difficult areas. To achieve this they didn’t simply add a ‘kit’ to the base model of the TRI but designed an entire sub-frame with refined ergonomics, including a large comfortable seat and specific footrests and a large fuel tank that in combination with its efficient fuelinjected engine, provides an excellent range. The Explorer is an extremely light machine with a progressive but powerful power delivery from the engine. The 2015 model gets a new Ollé front fork carefully adjusted for the use of the Explorer along with all the engine and frame optimisations of the trials model. The new range consists of three models with engines of 125, 250 and 300cc capacity. Scorpa wants to reconnect with the high-level trials market and therefore the new models are not revolutionary but rather they opted for a functional product which is practical but very powerful.

The new 125cc

is inspired by its predecessor and is designed to allow future champions to push beyond their limits with a new frame that provides extraordinary accuracy and stability due to the rigid design and forward tank location. It has a new 125cc long stroke engine along with a new cylinder and a high performance exhaust system. All of this is complemented by a large capacity air box for optimum torque and power at all speeds.

The 250cc and 300cc models have been designed to meet the needs of most trials riders from beginners to top professionals. The 250cc, like the 125cc, is completely new. It exhibits outstanding behaviour, is incredibly smooth at low revs and is also ideal for the more technical areas. From mid to high performance the engine response is exceptional and without limit while maintaining outstanding control and usability. It is very simply the ideal machine for beginners to seasoned veterans. The 300cc is more powerful and allows experienced riders to defy the impossible. As playful as it is powerful it will undoubtedly be the machine for fans seeking extreme sensations.
