TRIPLE TOP

Yes that’s exactly what it says ‘Triple Top’ three times a world motorcycling champion and you know what I am over the moon! The high speed bug of full throttle action at SuperEnduro has certainly taken me by surprise as I just love it. My world has always been trials but with the support of Sherco I enterd the world of off-road racing and long may it continue.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be writing my own column in a main stream motorcycling magazine or thanking people for the opportunity to compete at the cutting edge of female motorcycle sport in the world championship. In truth I never knew where the SuperEnduro idea would take me when we started but with some fantastic people around me I now find myself with two gold medals to my name to add to my trials one.

In my first year in 2014 I was a little apprehensive about going racing and yes I enjoyed it and the world title was a bonus as I never knew what the boundaries of my abilities were. Then I won the Ladies Trials world title in September and all of a sudden I was then looking forward to another racing season in 2015. The difference this year is that the preparation has been better than ever.

Mike Seward of MPS Racing took over the running of the Sherco Enduro team and the experience Mike and his team have gives you so much more confidence knowing that you are so well prepared. The Sherco factory and Malcolm and Rhoda Rathmell at MRS have all encouraged me to push my ability and I now genuinely enjoy racing. The more I ride the more relaxed I became such is the fun factor of the racing.

The pairing of myself and the new Sherco enduro range of machines could not have been timed any better. The enduro machine has now been parked up as I slow everything down to go back to trials riding and wow has it been a shock. Everything is so much calmer and it will take me a period of time to adjust back such are the two differences of the disciplines.

I would like to say a huge thank you to every one for putting and supporting me in Enduro.

Now my focus is the 2015 trials season which I am really looking forward to. First things first though and I must remember that the throttle works both ways!
