Trial Magazine’s sister publication Classic Trial Magazine (stand B59 Hall Two) will once again be attending the newly-branded Classic Dirt Bike Show sponsored by Hagon Shocks which is a must for any off-road enthusiast.

Packed halls at Telford’s International Centre will welcome showgoers on the weekend of February 20th and 21st as traders and jumble sellers come together to offer parts, pieces and spares for nearly every project, along with riding gear, clothing and accessories. Classic Trial Magazine will have their latest issue number 16 on sale along with back issues and of course Trial Magazine.

As visitors wander around the venue they’ll have a chance to rub shoulders with their heroes as several legends of off-road sport will be in attendance. Nick Jefferies, Jim Aird and Wayne le Marquand are set to appear on both days of the show being interviewed by Classic Dirt Bike editor Tim Britton.

On Sunday former speedway ace Barry Briggs will share tales from an incredible and varied career as he participates in on-stage discussions with Eric Boocock and Bill Brown… it promises to be a lively chat! The four special guests are also part of the traditional Saturday evening dinner which takes place at Telford’s Holiday Inn, just a stone’s throw from the International Centre. Each will speak during the evening which also includes a three course meal followed by coffee. Tickets are on sale now. New show sponsor Hagon Shocks also has plans to bring together rare Hagon machines from across the decades. For tickets call: 01507 529529 or visit the website: www.classicbikeshows.com. The opening times are 10:00am– 4:45pm on both days. Venue: The International Centre, St Quentin Gate, Telford, Shropshire. TF3 4JH. The Surrey Schoolboy Trials Club are delighted to announce that the profits from their recent Len Hutty Memorial Trial amounted to a whopping £2621 and will be donated to The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Len’s memory.

The club were the principle organisers of the trial but were assisted in this by the Croydon and Bognor clubs, the Croydon club running a raffle on the day which raised £314. The clubs would like to thank those people who donated prizes for the raffle plus they received a £100 donation from Crawley Trail Project and £70 from Naughty but Nice, caterers on the day.

There was an enormous entry of 235 riders who tackled 2 laps of 18 sections plus a special test laid out by Clerk of the Course Mark Watmore and friends with the lovely Mandy Frearson handling the paperwork.

Winner of the Len Hutty Memorial Award was Philip Martin who managed to ride his sweet sounding Triumph without penalty, the award was presented to him by Len’s wife Beverley and daughter Charlotte at the recent Southern Experts Trial.

The club are hoping to run the trial again this year so watch this space for further news.
