STILL RIDING

-

The 125, 250,

280 and 300 all carry quality components as expected, including Tech branded aluminium front forks, a two-way Reiger rear shock absorber and a Keihin carburettor. The motor still uses the diaphragm clutch system and it has seen some minor upgrades, including a titanium exhaust front pipe.

A new water-pump mechanical seal ensures a tighter seal, and a longer life expectancy is expected. It uses the Hidria dual-spark ignition system and an electrical wiring system in two parts — ignition and loom — which can be unplugged from the engine. The chassis is fabricated in 25CrMo4 steel for an extra degree of rigidity that also improves stability.

The Tech front suspension has the lower legs with a natural finish, whilst the upper tubes in aluminium are olive-green, ensuring greater surface hardness, reduced friction and an extended life. New anti-friction dust wipers offer less drag upon the fork leg. The rear shock is the Reiger 2V, with a bottom oil reservoir for maximum performance. Michelin X11 tyres ensure greater stability and are fitted to the black anodised rims. The rear wheel rim is a machined racing type. The routing of the rear brake hose on the outside of the swing-arm facilitates ease of maintenance, making it easy to bleed. CONTACT T: 01298 766813 E: mail@gasgasuk.com W: www.gasgasuk.com
