CYCLE The New Website

-

The Bike Trial Federation UK (BTF) have recently launched their new website www.biketrialfederation.uk The new committee, which has a wealth of knowledge and passion for the sport, has been busy developing and re-branding the federation to bring it up to date and, along with its other media platforms Facebook and Instagram, look to increase the number of participants in the sport as well as promoting our home grown talent which includes no less than four world champions. Ben Savage, Adam Morewood and Oliver Wightman are all BIU World Champions, and with UCI World Youth Games winner Charlie Rolls we are looking pretty healthy on talent.

The committee realises the importance of being able reach out to the sports competitors, potential sponsors and fans etc. not just in the UK but across the world too as many of our UK riders are followed by fans all across the globe. The new website, which was only launched — officially — on the 18th August, will provide its users with all the relevant information needed to find out about all things Bike Trial, including upcoming events and previous results. We have the ability to edit all the pages so as to keep the site current and up to date. Here’s a run through the pages…

HOME: A brief introduction to our site and who we are, with links to other pages, and our sponsors and supporters at the bottom of the page.

ABOUT/CLUBS/DOWNLOADS: A more detailed account of what the BTF is all about both at home with British Cycling and in its links to the International Governing bodies of the sport, the UCI and the BikeTrial International Union (BIU). You will also find information on how to contact the BTF and its various delegates and committee members etc. This page also contains information regarding the current affiliated clubs that the BTF supports, including information on how to contact them. The downloads section contains links to current rules and regulations that the BTF runs to, along with entry forms and other relevant information that may prove useful.

GALLERY: The nature of the sport and the dynamic moves involved lends itself to some dramatic and eye catching photos. We are fortunate that we have some great amateur photographers who attend our events with their family members who ride, which will enable us to compile a substantial gallery of photos and link them to each event; so get snapping! In time we hope to run a ‘photograph of the year’ competition; more details in the New Year.

CONTACT: This page is a clear link to contact details for people in relation to Bike Trial Federation matters as well as the clubs.

NEWS: We will be providing reports from our own national events and club trials as well as those international events that our team attends, such as the 2017 UCI Youth Games held in Viborg, Denmark as well as the World BikeTrial Championships 2017 in Pujalt, Catalunya.

EVENTS: We will be adding upcoming events to this section, that people can click on and enter either by downloading the relevant entry forms or via our online entry system courtesy of Entry Central.

RESULTS/REPORTS: Here you will find exactly what it says, reports and results on our National Series as well as club trials and international events. www.biketrialfederation.uk
