We are the Trial World Champions
We already had the first Trial World Champion of 2017 after five rounds, as the Trial125 Championship concluded with Italian Lorenzo Gandola on the Scorpa in the lead. Next to be crowned was Spain’s Marc Colomer, who became the first ever TrialE World Champion on the new electric Gas Gas. A jubilant Toni Bou continues to raise the bar on the Repsol Honda as the Spanish rider took his 11th TrialGP title a round early in the Czech Republic. In Trial2 Welsh rider Iwan Roberts on the Beta kept us all on our toes until the final round to take a well-deserved World Championship win. In the TrialGP Women’s class it was the very popular Emma Bristow who made Great Britain super proud, adding another championship to her growing collection. In the new Trial2 Women it was Spain that celebrated, with the title going to Neus Murcia, making it a ‘One-Two’ for Beta as she joined Roberts as a Trial World Champion.
