YOUTH A CLASS

-

It may look like it, but Green has not had everything all his own way. At this latest round it was Duncan MacColl (Beta) who lost out on a tie break to give Green the win. The day’s action was played out between these two all day after MacColl took the lead on the opening lap. Green came fighting back with the best lap of the trial on his second tour of the hazards but his challenger came back even harder and was unlucky to miss his first win in the 2017 championship with his best single-lap score at the close of the day. It’s once again inconsistency that has kept both Josh Hanlon (Beta) and Oliver Smith (Gas Gas) just off the winning pace, but the championship fight as in the other two classes will go all the way to the final rounds for those much sought-after podium positions. The talent in this 125cc class is on a par with the world’s best riders, and is a pleasure to watch.
