SCOTT TRIAL IS GO!

Some of the best trials news in 2021 arrived as we went to print. Subject to the relevant planning permission having been granted, the 2021 Scott Trial is all systems go. But, of course, we also have to consider the Covid-19 situation, which will hopefully be easier to control by mid-October.

The legendary event is iconic in the trials calendar, with a sporting heritage second to none. Successfully run by the Richmond Motor Club Yorkshire Limited, this year's event will take place on Saturday 16th October. The event was last run in 2019 when James Dabill (Beta) took the win as one of his closest rivals, Jack Price (Gas Gas), was excluded for missing a section. Both these riders have now retired from mainstream trials, having moved to the Extreme Enduro world. How good would it be to see these two riders join the event in 2021? With an expected entry limit of 200 riders, no doubt there will be many riders hungry to return to do battle with the challenging Yorkshire moors in this demanding time and observation event, still classed as the toughest test of man and machine in the world.
