SUCCESS FOR SOFIA
The Trial2 season of 2021 has been all about Sofia Rabino (BetaITA), who has taken four wins from the total of six on offer to take the title. Sara Trentini (Vertigo-ITA) was an early challenger with a win at round one in Italy, but an inconsistent season has been costly for her.
On day one, a shock win in Spain came from Petra Budinova (Sherco-CZE), but Rabino came fighting back on day two. It was good to see a new face starting to shine with Great Britain’s Kaytlyn Adshead (TRRS), who lost out on her first win on a three-way tie in Portugal, proving to be a potential title challenger in 2022.

With an eye on the title, Italy’s Sofia Rabino took a shock defeat from Petra Budinova from the Czech Republic on her first appearance in the 2021 championship. After the success in Italy at round one, Sara Trentini dropped off the pace on both days. However, Rabino came bouncing back on day two to keep her championship aspirations on track as Great Britain’s Kaytlyn Adshead came home second, with Alicia Robinson not showing her best form over the two days.
