A long-time supporter of both Trial Magazine and Classic

Trial Magazine, Brian Ashley passed away on the 5th June. With a business established more than 30 years ago, Brian could be found at motorcycle shows all over Europe to become known as ‘The Magazine Man’; you name the title, he stocked it.

John Hulme: “I have known Brian and his family for many years. It was he who first showed me the very first copy of the French Trial Magazine in 2002 at a Stafford Classic Show. We became good friends, and he was very instrumental in the early days of our titles in getting them out and about and into the public domain. In addition, he was very supportive of any new ideas I had for anything with two wheels, including our other title, Motorcycle Retro Replay. He will be sadly missed”.

A service of Brian’s life was held on the 5th July at Alsager, close to his home at Church Lawton near Stoke-on-Trent.
