HARRY’S GAME

- Article: Trials Media

The heat is on for everyone in the newly titled FIM Trial3 World Championship. Still with an engine capacity limit of 125cc, it has produced three winners from the first four rounds. The opening two rounds in Spain and Andorra in the first half of the eight points-scoring championship days have endured blistering temperatures and the hot action to go with it.

Great Britain’s number-one prospect for this title, Harry Hemingway (Beta), took the initiative at the opening round to lead the way with an impressive opening day victory. On day two, he was beaten by David Fabian (Beta-CZE) after two fives from Harry; one from taking the wrong route in a section on the second lap did not help!

Competing at a high altitude, the 125cc machines were on the edge of their power outputs in the second round in Andorra. However, this did not stop a tremendous ride from Scotland’s Jamie Galloway (TRRS), who went all the way to take his first FIM Trial World Championship win in a close-fought battle with Harry, the older of the two Hemingways, on day one.

On day two and riding at the very top of his game, Harry put in a masterclass performance to part with no marks for the win, with his younger brother George close behind him on just three marks lost. It was a very proud day for the Yorkshire-based Hemmingway family as the elated parents, Dan and Emma, witnessed their two young sons standing on the podium in first and second position, a world championship first. Jamie Galloway stood with them in third position, moving up to second overall in the points standings.

Great Britain’s only other rider in this class, Alfie Lampkin (Vertigo), continues to work hard with a career-best of eighth position on day one in Spain, consistently scoring points in the other three rounds.
