2022 MINTEX TRIAL

- REPORT AND PICTURE: CHARLOTTE BROWN

Sunday 11th September saw Richmond Motor Club run the annual Mintex Youth Time and Observation Trial — often referred to as the ‘Mini Scott Trial’.

Before the start, the Clerk of Course, Nathan Stones, briefed the riders, and a two-minute silence was held as a mark of respect for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The trial consisted of two laps of 30 sections, and 63 riders set off onto the course at 30-second intervals across some wellknown Scott Trial ground.

Scottish lad, Jamie Galloway (TRRS), was the last rider to set off and raced ahead to be the first rider back to the Start Field, setting the Standard Time of 2h59m30s and receiving the Mintex Cup and a Michelin rear tyre, kindly donated by Team Michelin.

RESULTS: 1: Jamie Galloway (TRRS) 19; 2: Callum Fowler (Beta) 48; 3: Euan Sim (Beta) 59; 4: Jacob Reeday (Beta) 66; 5: Jasper Fox (Beta) 68; 6: Charlie Cripps (Beta) 75; 7: Harry Blackwell (Beta) 78; 8: Bill Reeves (Sherco) 79; 9: Harrison Skelton (Scorpa) 96; 10: Elliot Cock (Vertigo) 98.
