The North Arm

Trout Fisherman (UK) - - Where To Fish -

The end of the North Arm is out of bounds now due to winter restrictions. This area has never really produced consistent fry feeding for me anyway although the North Arm Tower is always worth an hour or so on a boat because big fish hold here all year. Tom Cooper had the Rutland record brown here a few years ago on a Humungus. Carrot Creek and Barnhill Creek are a much better proposition. Weedbeds often appear either side, leaving a deep channel in the middle of each bay – an ideal area for the bank and boat angler.
